Sophia Rose Alexander was born and raised in the Dallas area and attended 2 years at the University of Texas Austin.  She raised 2 daughters in Dallas as she started her career in the Office Furniture and Interior Design Industry while a single mom. After 27 years of selling new and used office furniture, she moved to Orange County in 2011 to be with her first grandchild. She now has 5 grandchildren that all live in Dallas.

With her move to California, she joined the sales team at 2010 Office Furniture (Los Angeles) in October 2011 as the Vice President of Sales in Orange County. Mrs. Alexander quickly established herself as a business community leader, connector, and promoter and established a high level of exposure and visibility for her company by joining the Greater Irvine Chamber. As a member of the Greater Irvine Chamber, she dedicated countless hours to serving the organization in various volunteer leadership roles. In 2013, at the Chamber, Sophia was appointed as the Leads Group Coordinator, where she worked closely with the Chamber’s membership team to enhance and grow the premier networking/referral group.  She helped to expand the Chamber’s award-winning Leads Group program and created space for their members to form quality relationships and meet people they trust with their business. Sophia likes to think of herself as a mentor and connector in her chamber community.  Based on the impactful work with these Leads Groups Sophia was named the 2014 Member of the Year, and Ambassador of the Year.  Most recently, the Greater Irvine Chamber honored her with a Lifetime Membership.  This was the first and only time this honor has been bestowed on any member.

The Alexanders formerly served on the Council for Safe Families for Children (SFFC), a program that operates within and in partnership with Olive Crest in Southern California, – Orange County’s largest foster and adoption agency. They also volunteer to deliver meals, provide needed resources and at times babysit for the Host Families of SFFC.

Mrs. Alexander now works with the founder and Executive Director, Ryan Wong, to create partnerships with Step Forward Academy. She also oversees the matching of the Mentors for each Mentee to help them through the program’s 10 steps to success.
